Framed Canvas Prints

A framed canvas combines a stretched art canvas with a separate outer frame. The small space between the canvas and the frame creates a clean, gallery-style “floating” appearance while keeping the full face of the artwork visible.

Construction

What You Are Ordering

Printed Canvas

Your selected artwork is reproduced on archival-grade canvas designed for rich color, contrast and long-term display.

Solid-Wood Support

The canvas is carefully stretched over solid-wood stretcher bars so the image remains taut and properly presented.

Separate Outer Frame

The stretched canvas is installed inside an outer wood frame with a visible reveal rather than being covered by the frame edge.

Our Offered Finishes

Simple, Gallery-Ready Choices

To keep the ordering experience consistent with the gallery, the customer-facing framed canvas collection is intentionally limited to versatile black and white frame finishes.

Important: Framed canvas does not use a mat or glass/acrylic over the face of the artwork. The texture of the canvas remains visible.

Black Floating Frame

Strong contrast and a contemporary gallery presentation.

White Floating Frame

A light, clean presentation that works especially well with bright or minimalist artwork.

Visual Details

Why the Floating Gap Matters

The reveal between the canvas and the surrounding frame creates separation and depth. Because the frame does not overlap the face of the canvas, the artwork remains visually complete. Frame profile and final outside dimensions may vary slightly by print size.

Questions & Answers

Framed Canvas FAQ

What is a floating frame?

A floating frame surrounds the stretched canvas while leaving a narrow visible gap between the canvas edge and the frame. This makes the canvas appear suspended inside the frame and gives the piece additional visual depth.

Will the frame cover part of the artwork?

No. The floating-frame design is intended to keep the front face of the canvas visible rather than covering it with a traditional frame lip.

Is there glass or acrylic over a framed canvas?

No. Framed canvas is displayed without glazing so the canvas texture remains visible. The canvas itself is the finished presentation surface.

What frame colors are offered?

Our standard customer-facing options are black and white. These finishes closely match the framing choices used throughout the gallery and keep ordering straightforward.

Is the frame made from wood?

The canvas is stretched over solid-wood stretcher bars and the outer framing system uses wood framing components suited to the selected canvas configuration.

Does the canvas wrap around the sides?

The print is stretched around the stretcher-bar structure. The visible edge treatment depends on the crop and production setup for the selected artwork and size.

Does the frame depth change the appearance?

Yes. A deeper construction creates a stronger three-dimensional profile when viewed from the side. The compatible production profile is matched to the artwork size and selected frame.

Will my framed canvas arrive ready to hang?

Framed canvas orders are configured with compatible hanging hardware so the finished piece can be installed on a suitable wall. Hardware type can vary with the size and frame construction.

How should I care for the canvas?

Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners, soaking, persistent moisture and prolonged direct sunlight. Handle the framed piece by the frame whenever possible.

Will every size look exactly like the example?

The overall design remains consistent, but frame profile, reveal proportions and final outside dimensions can vary slightly with artwork dimensions and production requirements.
